On February 22, 1931, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ appeared to a simple nun in a convent of the Congregation of Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in Kracow, Poland. At St. Faustina Kowalska's canonization in the year 2000, Pope John Paul II declared the Feast of Divine Mercy to be a fest of the Universal Church to be celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter.
Our Lord said "It is My desire that it be solemnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter...I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fountain of My mercy."

Please be advised there is a scam going around in which parishioners have been receiving text messages from someone claiming to be Fr. Chris. These texts usual seek to initiate a conversation that leads to asking for money or gift cards. Fr. Chris will never contact parishioners via text message or email asking for gift cards or money. If you receive a text message or email of this nature do not respond. Always contact the parish office or Fr. Chris directly if you ever suspect an email or text message might be a scam or seems questionable.
